In een kleine, gesloten gemeenschap op het eiland Jersey wordt de jonge, verwarde Moll verliefd op Pascal, een mysterieuze vreemdeling die haar de kracht geeft te ontsnappen aan haar benauwende familie. Wanneer Pascal vervolgens verdacht wordt van een reeks brutale moorden, verdedigt Moll hem dan ook fel en ontdekt ze waar ze toe in staat is.
